Project Overview
Under this term contract, NKB provided architectural and engineering review services for alterations, renovations, reconstruction, demolition, and new construction projects at educational facilities throughout New York State. Services were performed in accordance with current SED Planning Standards, applicable codes, and State and Federal regulations.
Assignments were completed on an as-needed basis within strict review timelines. NKB reviewed design submissions for completeness, code compliance, constructability, and building aid eligibility, examining all disciplines for coordination and compliance with applicable requirements. Deficiencies and required corrections were documented through formal review comments, addenda, certifications, and response documents. To date, NKB has completed 46 A/E reviews for school districts and BOCES across New York State.
