N.K. BHANDARI, Architecture & Engineering, P.C. is looking for a bright, energetic, and creative individual to join our team. Work Environment:

• This position is fully remote! In-person team meetings may be required from time to time.

• Approximately 10-15% travel is expected to various job sites and client locations.

Responsibilities

• Understand and translate client project needs and requirements into project designs such as drawings, specifications, code analysis, cost estimates, and reports.

• Assist with coordinating project effort through all phases of design, including schedule, scope, and budget.

• Demonstrate expertise in the development of the BIM (Revit) model and the creation of construction documents within Revit.

• Lead/Support the production team by:

  • Performing / overseeing basic site observations such as recording existing conditions.

  • Researching and providing manufacturer/product data in preparation of the specifications.

  • Ensuring design intent and code compliance.

  • Creating graphic content for presentations and reports.

  • Providing quantity takeoffs, pricing, or other supporting information to assist in cost estimate preparation.

  • Ensuring the completion of production effort to meet scheduled deadlines.

  • Making team aware of any suspected scope change items.

  • Performing QA / QC of self-performed work and the work performed by drafter or other design team members including sub-consultants.

• Participate in the Construction Admin phase of projects to include:

  • Performing site observations to evaluate construction progress.

  • Reviewing submittals against drawings and specifications.

  • Preparing responses to Requests for Information.

  • Preparing job drawings and record drawings.

• Assist in various Marketing and Business Development activities.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor and/or Master of Architecture degree or related degree.

• Five to fifteen years’ experience as an Architectural Designer.

• Licensure, or license track not required, but a plus.

• Skill in the development of projects through production of construction documents.

• Ability to lead production team and develop staff.

• Proficiency in professional and technical writing.

• Proficiency in BIM (Revit), CADD (AutoCAD), Microsoft Office and BlueBeam programs.

• Proficiency in collaboration and communication among design team members, sub-consultants, and client representatives.

Compensation: $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
